What did you do for dinner last night?

My mother-in-law's neighbor threw a bonfire, but it got a little out of hand. Seriously though, the flames weren't caused by the candles on Granny's 87th birthday cake either. There is nothing like evacuating a spry 87 year old, a 9 month old, a curious 4 year old, a pomeranian and a 15 year old cat that was taking a nap all within a 2 minute window. I actually can claim that I raced in to save the cat at the last minute, but I don't think the cat actually wanted to leave because he was sleeping comfortably. If I had left him, he'd probably be in your lunch tomorrow at Moby Kabob's house of "you know what"!
Right when I pulled up to the parking lot, the guy renting the basement (Who also spoke french) was trying to find out why he smelled smoke and I walked over and looked in the front window and could see a fire starting along the one wall. As I WAITED on 911 to answer (I didn't think 911 had a "hold" button), the flames started going up the one wall and to the ceiling. And the moral of the story is that space heaters are REALLY REALLY BAD, I GUESS? Oh, and moral of the story #2 is that fire totally spreads quickly...the top floor of the townhouse was a fireball in about 5 minutes!
